Facebook Brand Template for CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT

May 17, 2012

As today is a big day in the history of Facebook, I thought I would pass along some templates that can help you create a brand page on Facebook. First, you may be asking why this is such a big day? After the stock market closes this afternoon, the initial price of Facebook stock will be set and it will be available on the public markets tomorrow.

If a company has a brand page on Facebook, there are a number of things you can customize to fit your brand. The two biggest items are a cover photo and a profile picture. Note that your personal Facebook page can have these same items. Each of them has an exact size. For the cover photo, it is 851 x 315 pixels. In the provided templates, it is represented by a blue rectangle. Profile photos are 160 pixels square and it is represented by a yellow square in the templates. Around the profile photo is a white border that measures 170 pixels square. We have included a white square in the templates to allow you to better preview the final look of your brand page. Just note that the white square can not be changed on the Facebook page. Each of the templates also includes a dark blue bar at the top of the page and a light blue background. Neither of these is editable on your brand page and they are simply included for reference.

You can download the templates as a single zip file. Inside of that zip file are separate CDR and CPT files for your use. The CDR file is saved from CorelDRAW X6 so you will need CorelDRAW X6 to use it. Similarly, the CPT file was saved from Corel PHOTO-PAINT X6. It may work in Corel PHOTO-PAINT X5 though I have not tested it. Design whatever you like to fit an 851×315 pixel area and put it in the template in place of the blue rectangle. Then design a 170 pixel square graphic for your profile photo and put it in place of the yellow square. Now you will have a good idea of your customized Facebook brand page.
