Along with the release of CorelDRAW X6.1 came the era of premium memberships. You pay a membership fee each year and you get a few additional features with updates and access to additional content such as clip art. If you continually pay, you’ll also get new versions as part of the membership cost. Maybe a membership is the best value for you. There are certainly others ways to get additional features and content if that is what you desire.
If you go the membership route, I am unable to see a way to download all additional content at once. You download each piece of content as it is used. I prefer to have all of my content on my own system so I can access it all whenever I want. Today I wanted to list some alternatives that cost less than a year of membership and often deliver more content to you. Best of all, you don’t have to hunt for it and download it one item at a time.
CorelDRAW Unleashed Bonus Content Pack Volume 1 combines four different types of content on a single disc. Yes, there is only a single disc in the collection right now and we are hard at work on new discs to add to the collection. It contains a number of content collections that are also sold separately on the Clipart Unleashed, Textures Unleashed and Stripes Unleashed pages. Also this content can be used in CorelDRAW 9 and higher.
Another really cool way to add some useful art to your collection are the CorelDRAW Brush Packs. There are three separate packs available with each of those packs containing more than 400 Artistic Media Brushes that can be used in CorelDRAW X3-X6. There is even a free sample pack so you can try them out before buying anything. Not sure how to use them or why to use them? Check out the hours of free video tutorials on the product page to learn all about them.
Do you want more cool fills to use in your graphics software? Make sure to look the the seven packages currently in the Textures Unleashed lineup. Even better, there are four more packages in the works that will be released in the next couple of months. These seamless textures can be used in a wide variety of graphics software. Of course that includes CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT from v9 and up. I believe they work in even older versions but I don’t have them available to test on my system.
Need some additional features for CorelDRAW? Maybe the QR Codes Docker fills a need for you. How about using the free Design Base Automation plug-in? Or you could visit some other macro developers sites to see everything they have to offer. There are many cool macros at both GDG Macros and Macromonster!
Only you can decide what option provides the best value for your needs. Users of older versions do have choices to get additional content and you don’t have to break the bank to get it!
