AMD Ryzen 7 Processor and ASUS Motherboard

When it comes to buying computers, I have to admit I’m an Intel guy. Plain and simple, I don’t give AMD processors a second look. I know there are some good ones, I have just always chosen to stay within the Intel family. Readers have asked about AMD processors so today I’m going to share a really fast new processor from AMD and a motherboard to use with it. FTC disclaimer requires me to say I got nothing for free and I do earn a painfully small commission from Amazon if you use the links I provide to buy something.

The AMD Ryzen 7 1800X Processor is the latest from AMD and its speed compares favorably with the Intel Core i7-7700K. You’ll find 8 cores that can be run as 16 threads at a base clock of 3.7GHz and 4.0GHz in turbo mode. If you want AMD and you want speed, this is a great choice.

Our processor has an AM4 socket so we have to find a compatible motherboard and the Asus ROG Crosshair VI Hero it an awesome choice. It is loaded with the latest connectors: 10 USB 3.0 ports, 10 SATA 6 GB/s connectors and more. Together these two are the starting point of a very fast computer.
