Turn Down the Noise

March 28, 2005

There are all kinds of problems that can detract from a classic photo. One of those problems is noise. Every major image editor has a filter to remove noise but none of them truly remove it. Often noise removal also gives you some undesired blurring.

Noise Ninja to the rescue. It can either be used as a standalone application or as a plug-in. Basically you just pay a bit more to get the plug-in capabilities. Noise Ninja has profiles for popular cameras, manual and automatic modes and much more. If you’re got noisy pictures, this cool tool is worth a look.
