Weekend Widget: Sizer

August 9, 2008

When I am filming the movies for my CorelDRAW X4 Unleashed book, I need the program windows to be an exact size. Trying to size the program windows without some help is next to impossible. The Sizer application comes to my rescue.

When it is run, you will find an icon in your tray and it will also provides you the ability to change a program’s window size right from the restore button in the upper right of any window. It has built-in many of the popular window sizes. You can add any other sizes you desire and remove the sizes you don’t want.

Sizer is the classic example of a program that does only one thing and does it really, really well. If you don’t need to know the exact sizes of windows, it isn’t something you can appreciate. But if you do need exact sizes, it sure can be a lifesaver. Oh yea, it is free!
