Nearly three and a half years passed between “monthly” releases of the Open Clip Art Library. The last release was in the fall of 2005 and I had given up on seeing a new release. Just in case I would check back every now and then. I was definitely surprised when I saw that release 0.19 (377 MB download) had come out at the end of March. It contains 12,337 images in SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) format along with PNG thumbnails and browsable HTML pages.
According to the project’s Web site, they are planning to return to monthly releases. I’m thrilled as this is a great source of fresh images to use in your favorite vector graphics tool. Download the massive collection and check it out!
