Using your favorite solid colors in CorelDRAW is quite easy. You just have to build a custom palette to hold them all. But what if you want to use fountain fills, pattern fills or texture fills? There is no way to add them to a palette. Well, at least not yet. There is a developer looking at creating something like that.
In the meantime, there is a workaround you can use. Create a series of small rectangles and fill them with the fills you want to use. Save the file full of those rectangles to a separate CDR file. When you need to use them, just import that CDR file into your current document and use the Edit | Copy Properties From command to copy the fills. Or right-click and drag one of the rectangles over the object you wish to fill while holding the Shift key and the fill will be dropped onto the object of your choice.
