Very often I hear users complain that their graphics software of choice is problematic on their systems. Other users are unable to re-create the problem situation. One of the suggestions always given is to update the drivers for the hardware on your computer, most definitely the video drivers. In the past couple of weeks, there are been two very important driver updates that affect many users. I highly recommend you to take the time to check the drivers for all of your hardware as new drivers can have a dramatic impact on system speed and stability. It is best to get these drivers directly from the hardware manufacturer and not from Windows Update!
In particular, I’m going to provide you links to the two drivers recently released as they will affect many users. First, there is a new driver for Wacom tablets. I hadn’t been having problems, but other users had reported some issues and the latest driver cleared them up. If you aren’t using a Wacom tablet, why not give yourself an early holiday present. We have a list of all the Wacom tablets on our site. The other major driver release came from nVidia. Video drivers are probably the most important drivers on your system. The last nVidia driver release solved some major problems for me. So if you are using an nVidia card in your system, get the latest drivers now!
