Ever since I started using Bibble Pro to process the RAW files from my camera, I’ve been a fan of the software. I bought it when the current version was Bibble 4 Pro partially because they promised a free upgrade to Bibble 5 Pro when it was available. I waited and waited and the upgrade didn’t come. Bibble Labs just didn’t want to release the new version until it was right. While I hated waiting, I liked the fact that they held it until it was worthy of release.
When Bibble 5 Pro was finally released, it was insanely fast and it was a huge improvement over Bibble 4 Pro. One of the problems with RAW processing software is that new cameras are constantly being released and each of them has a different file format. What prompted me to write this post is that they recently released yet another incremental update for Bibble 5 Pro. I don’t know the exact count, but there have been at least 8-10 of these small upgrades since the main version was updated. Each of these minor upgrades brings support for more cameras, tweaks to existing features and even some new features.
I just thought it was great to point out a software company that really does it right. They have a good product. They only release a new version when it is truly ready. Plus they release frequent updates to each version to make it even better. I really wish there were more companies like this.
Should you need RAW processing software, download the trial version of Bibble 5 Pro and I think you’ll find it is great software backed up by a great company!
