Can you believe it is 2011 already? I know I am surprised we’re in a new year already. I’ve spent the last two weeks exploring the Inca Trail to Macchu Picchu and the Amazon Jungle where electricity was non-existent and the calendar was the last thing on my mind. I survived the journey and now it back to daily life.
One of the realities of life is paying taxes. For those of you in the United States, the burden of preparing your taxes is made much easier by using TurboTax. It will walk you through all of your income and expenses. Then it will try to minimize the amount of tax you owe. I’ve been using it for many years now and I know it saves me untold hours of trying to fill out the forms manually. When done, I e-file and get my refund automatically deposited in my bank account. If you’ve never used it, now is the time to give it a try. Remember, you can deduct the cost of the software as a tax preparation expense. For those who have used it, it is now time to get your 2010 version and get started.
