GDG Ring Around the Shape

February 14, 2011

CorelDRAW has the ability to step and repeat objects. It also allows you to transform objects when moving, rotating etc. It even gave us the ability to tell how many times to repeat the transformation in X5. All very cool stuff. The GDG Ring Around the Shape macro takes those ideas and allows you to step and repeat a shape around another shape to create cool patterns. You can even choose if the duplicated objects are duplicates or clones of the original. When they are clones, editing one will change the shape of the other. Visit the macro’s Web page and you can watch a couple of movies that show it in action.
