There is a big difference between illustration software like CorelDRAW and CAD software like AutoCAD. Corel provides Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite as as more CAD-like experience for CorelDRAW users. Another way to bridge the gap is Alexander Penkin’s CADTool 4. This powerful macro brings a number of of new tools to CorelDRAW.
I’ll tell you about some of the features included, but I encourage you to go to the product page to watch movies showing many of the features in action. There are tools to measure curves, segments and the area of curves. If you want to draw a curve involving nodes or get information on nodes, there are a number of features for you. Want more control over dimensions? CADTool will give you that. Need hatch fills or mirroring of shapes? You got it. Parallel lines, flanges, rings and so much more are included. Check it out!
