Every user wants a computer to be as fast as possible. Numerous components go into a computer and being underpowered on any component can slow things down. Graphic designers tend to run their screens at higher resolutions and use software that is more demanding of a video card when compared with word processors and e-mail software. Unfortunately some of the best video cards can be quite expensive and may be underutilized. The key is to find the sweet spot between price and performance.
Palit built its GTX560 Ti 2 GB video card off of the nVidia reference design. Many of the cards based on this design only have 1 GB of memory where this card has 2 GB. That extra memory can really come in handy if you are using more than one monitor and only adds a few dollars to the price. This particular card sells for under $280. It isn’t the least expensive card, but it provides a lot of power for the price. For those wanting a faster computer, this could be just what you need.
