Many Web pages on the Web are created by a Content Management System (CMS). For the person creating the content of the page, they simply type in the text and add pictures in similar fashion to a word processor. Then the CMS puts that content into a template. If the template is changed, all content managed by the system will be republished in that new template. For these systems, the key is creating a great template or modifying an existing template.
Maybe that description is a little complicated so let me list some of the more popular CMS systems. Do the names Joomla, Drupal, WordPress, DotNetNuke and Blogger sound a little bit more familiar? Artisteer Automated Web Designer was designed to create templates for these systems and they claim you don’t need to know anything about the underlying technologies (HTML, CSS, etc). There is a free trial version so you should definitely give it a try before buying. If you are working with a CMS, this is a product that could be really useful!
