ColorSchemer Studio 2

August 6, 2011

It might be a Web site, or a flyer, a poster, a sign or most anything you’re charged with designing. If it is going to be in color, you will soon be searching for colors that work well together. If that’s the case, you will definitely want to check out ColorSchemer Studio 2. It gives you a variety of tools for building a palette of colors that fit together.

For those of you who don’t want to build your own, you can choose one from their COLOURlovers community which has over a million pre-made color schemes. Users can rate the color schemes so you choose one that has been rated well. Schemes can be built from photos or images. If you have a single starting color, ColorSchemer can show you what colors work best with that color. It can also give you variations of that color. Once you’ve build a scheme, it can show you a quick preview of it on a variety of layouts. Schemes can then be exported to a wide range of palette formats.

I had a need recently to create a color scheme and decided to buy ColorSchemer Studio to help me out. It was really easy to get a palette of colors that were pleasing and worked together. Once my scheme was done, I quickly built a custom palette in CorelDRAW and Adobe InDesign and I was ready to go. With my first use, it was definitely worth the purchase. Give the free trial a drive and I think you’ll like it.
