It’s hard to believe that it is already August. Even though it is 110 degrees here, I’m sure the silly local retailers will start loading up on Christmas items. Those that do won’t see me in their stores. Enough of the seriousness, let’s start off the month with some fun stuff.
Some of you make signs for a living. Others are looking for creative inspiration for new products. Brilliantly smart-ass responses to completely well-meaning signs features photos of a number of signs that have been defaced with graffiti. Beyond the vandalism, some of you may find a few of the modifications offensive. I think several of the changes could make for very funny t-shirts. Check it out and see if it inspires you. Just don’t go defacing signs!
I made a rule a long time ago to avoid politics in the blog. I’m going to break the rule briefly today. The US economy was near the edge because our elected leaders couldn’t come to an agreement. Political drama like this always leads to great comedy. Check out this hilarious commercial called Spenditol. Congress should be forced to watch this over and over until they can solve the problem.
Let’s end with some happy music. A Danish acapella vocal group has made a really cool video where they do acapella versions of some popular 90s dance tunes. Even though the video portion seems basic, is cool to watch the various performers singing their part.
Hopefully this will help you get your week off to a good start. If you ever run into something you think others would enjoy, please post a comment here on the blog or on the Graphics Unleashed Facebook page.
