Return On Influence: The Revolutionary Power of Klout, Social Scoring, and Influence Marketing

February 28, 2012

It is very easy for someone to tell you they are influential in something. Thanks to various sites on the Web, there are ways to measure a person’s online influence. A new book entitled Return On Influence: The Revolutionary Power of Klout, Social Scoring, and Influence Marketing gives you the details of influence marketing.

I know some of you are asking why you should care about something like this. First, I know many of you have some role in promoting your own business. Using social tools like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Blogs are widely used in today’s marketing. There are also many of you who provide marketing services of some sort to others. That could simply be by designing some graphics, but your arsenal of products can easily include the ability to help them with social tools.

Two of the tools used today to measure social influence are Klout and PeerIndex. Each of them will measure your usage of social marketing tools and assign a score to your influence. A higher score indicates that you have more influence. Each of the tools also lists topics where you are influential. This book will provide you with information you need to know about influence marketing and how you can increase your influence scores. Yes, I’ve got my copy on order and can’t wait to start reading!

You may also want to check out another book by the same author if you are unsure of the value of Twitter. The Tao of Twitter is highly praised by readers and a copy is sitting on my desk waiting to be read.

It isn’t often that the author of the book comments on a book review. Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed our review. If you ever want to review a book on CorelDRAW, just let me know!
