Select Same macro updated for X5-2018 (32 and 64 bit)

Written by Jeff Harrison

This is very likely the most popular macro in the history of CorelDRAW: Select Same 2

select same dialog

There was a bug with form (dialog) position in X6 – Shelby Moore fixed it. Now it opens in the same position was when it was last used.

If you find it useful, please consider supporting us to help ensure this and other macros continue to exist, and that future ones are created. Thanks!

March 2017: For Version 3, Shelby rebuilt the code in this macro for more modern versions of CorelDRAW. Please Consider donating 10.00 to help cover his time.

Hi Jeff, after I run the installation from the exe file, I can’t find the macro inside corel. I cannot either locate it in my pc’s folders…
Do you know where it goes after install?

    I use corel x8

    Thank’s for the good work…

Hello Jeff, thats bad news. I’m using your SelectSame many times every day in my X5. And I found no alternate tool for my new X8.
No problem to pay for it if you are spending time to rebuilt this macro.

I got a “runtime error 94” when starting the macro.

Some select-boxes are “preselected” and showing up in grey colour. When I hit the “Select all Similar” button the error somes up.
When I first click on all checkboxes to uncheck them, and then click on the checkboxes I need… it works.

Any idea what might be wrong?

    Thanks!

Hi, it seems you have some corrupted registry settings for this macro. I’ll email you directly.

        Hi Jeff,
3 entries in the Registry did not even exist. I added them manually and… it works perfeclty now. Thanks! Donation is on it’s way.

Hi, What about CorelDraw 2024 (ver. 25)?
    i put JH_SelectSame.gms into C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2024\Draw\GMS
but when I run the macro and select search options, I click the button “Select all Similar” and I get the error:
“compile error in a hidden module: frmSelectSame” :((
Is there a way to overcome this?
    thanks in advance!
