Dropbox Cloud Storage Makes Sharing Large Files Easy

June 9, 2012

With every year that goes by, the files we create keep getting bigger. The problem is sharing those files with others as they are too big for e-mail. Or what if you are away from your computer and you need to make sure you have access to some important files?

The Dropbox cloud service makes it easy to share large files with others. It will create a folder on your hard drive. Any files/folders you put inside of that folder will be moved to the cloud for access from elsewhere. You have the ability to control who can access files and folders so only the people you want can get them.

For free you get 2 GB of cloud storage. There are ways to increase the size for free by referring friends and other promotions. For example, Dropbox has a deal with HTC to give 23 GB of free storage for two years for owners of some phones. That includes the HTC Evo 4G LTE I told you about a few days ago. For those who need more space, paid plans are available. Free software is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android and Blackberry. This makes it easy to use the cloud storage from most any device. Get your free account today and make it easier to share those large files.

Dropbox is simple, useful and too easy to send/receive files. I’ve downloaded it and enjoy a lot. I also recommend, in addition to being free.
