Today I want to share with you two other blog posts containing really valuable information. I’ve had a home office for nearly 20 years now. Some of you have your own home office while others may be considered it. The folks at Forbes did an excellent post Design a Home Office You’ll Actually Work In with ideas for your perfect home office. They make it clear you need to have a dedicated work area so you can focus on your work. While my office is at home, it is a dedicated space in the house so I truly feel like I am entering the workplace. Now I just have to find a way to de-clutter my desk.
I ask you all to read the second post and fully understand each of the points written. 12 Annoying Things About Your Website That Drive People Away is full of valuable information whether you design Web sites or you simply have a site that others design for your business. As I was reading it, I was definitely nodding my head on almost every point. Not just because it was talking about an item that annoyed me, but also because clients seem to want some of this junk on their sites. Use this article as a checklist to make sure your own site is free of this annoying stuff and also that any sites you design are free of it. Should clients insist on adding this junk, have them read the post to understand the problem they are wanting to create.
