Truly iconic images combine a photographer’s skill with being in the right place at the right time. At right you’ll see an image of the most recent solar eclipse shot by photographer Colleen Pinski in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Being in the right place at the right time allowed her to get a great shot of the eclipse. What really makes the shot is the person standing in the middle of the frame and that was pure luck.
The UK Mail Online did a nice article on how the photo was shot. What is truly incredible is that Colleen was approximately 1.5 miles away from the person standing in the middle of the shot. You’ll definitely want to read how it was taken as there is also an image showing the ridge in relation to where she was shooting. It is an absolutely amazing image and a great explanation of how the image was captured.
