Wacom Cintiq 24HD Graphic Tablet and Monitor

July 11, 2012

If you are working with graphics software, you need a Wacom tablet. I’ve said that many times before and I’m sure I’ll say it many times in the future. Of course I also feel pretty strongly that having a large, high-resolution display can be a huge boost to your productivity. Today, we’re going to look at a product that puts both of them together in a single package.

Wacom has recently released the Cintiq 24HD Graphic Monitor shown at right which combines the technology of a Wacom tablet with an HD monitor. To be exact, the monitor measures 24 inches diagonally with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. It also supports 2048 levels of pressure. For those of you who prefer to do your digital design directly on screen, this may just be the perfect accessory for you. Now for the painful part, the price. It lists for $2799 and I have seen it selling for under $2600. Thus it is a significant investment as it could cost more than your whole computer. All I can say is it is a very impressive piece of technology for artists that can truly put it to use.
