The Royal Museums Greenwich hold an annual competition for Astronomy Photographer of the Year in categories of Earth and Space, Our Solar System, Deep Space and Young Astronomy Photographer of the Year. They’ve posted the contest winners and other prize winners at 2012 Winners: Astronomy Photographer of the Year.
