I’m always getting an interesting mix of questions and comments from loyal readers. Many times those questions provide plenty of material for a full blog post. Today I wanted to address a few of them and tell you about a great way to save money today (and today only).
A few months back I wrote Is The 64-Bit Version of CorelDRAW Right For You? and I was questioned about this. The right answer for each user is totally dependent on how they use the software. But I think the benefits of having a 64-bit version only apply to a very small percentage of users while the downsides affect a large number of users. If nothing else, users on a 64-bit operating system (which I do recommend) should install both versions of CorelDRAW X6 so they can choose at any time whether to run 32-bit or 64-bit CorelDRAW.
In yesterday’s blog, Put Your Font List on a Post Holiday Diet, I referenced the lesson on font management in CorelDRAW X5 Unleashed Advanced Topics. The link I had provided to Font Frenzy in the lesson no longer went to an active page. The dangerous part of providing links in my books is that Web sites are constantly changing and that can break my links. For those wanting Font Frenzy, I’ve provided an updated link in this post.
Today is “Small Business Saturday” and the folks at American Express really want you to shop at small businesses and pay with your American Express card. This is an American Express promotion, but if you follow their rules you can get $25 back for shopping at Graphics Unleashed. We’d love you to support our small business and Unleashed Productions is listed as a qualifying small business. I just want to stress that this is an American Express promotion so any questions about the promotion or the rebate should be directed at them.
