I ask you a question in yesterday’s post, Should You Do Some of Your Own Photography? In that post, I also had a link to the last roundup I did of cameras. Today I wanted to explore some of the more popular DSLRs available today. DSLRs are not inexpensive, but they can also be really expensive if you look at the top of the line. For Canon and Nikon, I’ve listed a popular entry-level model and a mid-level model. If you aren’t as concerned with having the same brands as others, I’ve also listed a Sony model.
While I would love to be able to do a hands-on review of each of these cameras, I don’t have the budget to purchase them and no cameras were made available for review. So I’ll simply provide some of the more popular models/kits and you can determine which one is the right choice for you. All prices listed are the price shown to me by Amazon when this was written. You may see a higher or lower price.
