Nearly 1 of every 6 people in the world has a Facebook account. Those accounts allow you to share personal information and you can choose who is allowed to see those posts. Facebook also allows you to create a “Page” if you are posting on behalf of something else.
First, you have to have a personal account if you want to create a page. Then go to Create a Page on Facebook and you are given six choices for the page you want to create as shown below.
For the sake of discussion, let’s say you are creating the page for a small local business. Click on that choice and the tile will change to the form shown at right. Fill in that information and click Get Started.
On the next screen, you’ll be asked to fill in more information about the business. Another tab allows you to upload a profile picture. Strangely, you are not given the choice to upload a cover photo at this point. If you need help with a cover photo, make sure to visit Facebook Brand Template for CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT for a free template. Clicking next allows you to add the new page to your favorite and gives you the ability to create an ad to promote it.
That’s it, the page is created! Of course it is still pretty empty so you’ll want to upload a cover photo as soon as possible and then it is time to start posting to your new page. It takes less than five minutes to create a page. So if you don’t already have one for your business, create one now!
