Nowadays it is very common to communicate exclusively with people via telephone and e-mail. There are many of you who read the blog every day or at least most days and it gives you a little insight into my life. Maybe we have a conversation and I get to learn a little bit more of you. Yet it just isn’t the safe as having a face-to-face conversation.
Last week I was at the NBM Show in Arlington, Texas and quite a few of you stopped by to say hello. Some had a question, some attended my free seminar and some of you just said hello and thank you. While there were many new faces, there were also some who I hadn’t seen in a while. That included customers, people I had worked with many years ago and I even got to see a friend who goes all the way back to first grade with me.
While the travel and the trade show are exhausting, getting to meet so many people is really invigorating. So for all of you who said hello, thank you! I look forward to the next show where I can hopefully talk to many more of you.
I’ll leave you today with an amusing sign I saw just before I boarded the plane to head home. The Dallas airport was trying to help people find a healthy bite to eat and listed the “healthy options” on a video board. While there are a couple of places on the list that might offer some healthy food, I got a big laugh out of most of the places listed there. The food may be tasty, but I think I would find it very difficult to call it healthy. For the record, I had some barbecue and it definitely wasn’t the healthiest choice.
