Facebook has already redesigned the way that cover photos appear on personal profiles and there will soon be changes to the cover photo on business (fan) pages. The profile photo will be moved up to cover more of the cover photo and the page name and buttons will also be moved up to cover part of the cover photo. See below for a rough sample of the new look.
The sample you see above is actually from a CorelDRAW template we have created to make it easy for you to design your own cover photo. You can download this CorelDRAW X5 file for free. We did not save it as an older version because it will lose several important features.
While the sample above shows elements that Facebook will automatically add, we have placed those elements on a visible, but not printable (or exportable) layer so you can accurately preview how things will look before exporting your cover photo. Sure, you can modify the properties of the layer if you really want to edit those elements.
We have already created an updated cover photo using this template and we will upload it to the Graphics Unleashed Facebook page as soon as our page is moved to the new layout. We would love to see the cover photos you’ve created with this template so feel free to share those photos with the Graphics Unleashed Facebook page so everyone can see your artwork.
