The first post was a very interesting article about a painting by Renoir. Much of the color had faded on the part of the painting visible. Looking under the frame to the parts of the canvas that weren’t exposed to light, the colors were much more vivid. Just like ink jet prints can fade over time, so can the pigments used in old paintings. We linked to an article that describes this painting in detail and shows how it was digitally restored to the original vivid colors.
Visitors to our Facebook page love seeing our Arizona sunsets. When I see a good one outside of our office, I try to get a good picture of it to share with you. I loved the layered colors.
While I really liked the first sunset, I was blown away a few nights later and took a shot of almost the exact same spot in the sky. Make sure to like and share your favorite sunset shot.
One of my favorite social media memes is Throwback Thursday where everyone is encouraged to post a photo from their past. I have albums of old family photos and I take a few minutes each Thursday to go through those albums to find the shot I post. Last week I found a very stark image of my dad sitting on a fence post. Now I am trying to find a similar fence post so that I can re-create the shot and post prints of the two side-by-side.
