Major Elements of Graphics Unleashed Web Site Get Design Refresh

May 5, 2014

Graphics Unleashed Shopping CartIf you haven’t visited the Graphics Unleashed Web site in a while, you’ll see some changes the next time you visit. Graphics Unleashed Media Marketplace went live in March 2009 and the design had more or less been the same since then. At right you can see the new color scheme now matches the rest of the site.

The biggest change may be the least obvious and that is the name. While we always referred to it as “the shopping cart” in-house, the official name was always Media Marketplace. So we’ve simplified and the name is now officially “Graphics Unleashed Shopping Cart”. Undoubtedly there are references to the old name somewhere on our site and we’ll get them changed as we find them.

For most people the changes are visible in that the various shades of gray in the old color scheme are now mostly shades of blue. Other colors are used on the buttons to help you distinguish the buttons function. Even though I’m bringing the changes to your attention today, there are still changes to be made to some elements of the design. If I had to guess, I’m about 90% done as I write this.

Not only do we believe the changes are more attractive to visitors, we also believe they will make the shopping cart easier for you to navigate. No surprise, we like it when you buy stuff.

Other areas of the site have seen changes as well. The rest of the Web site and blog pages now has a bar along the top of each page making it easy for you to translate the content into the language of your choice or to search the site for the information you desire.

A new menu was also built using the SWIMBI tool I described back in February. We tried to streamline the menus to the things you most want to find. A new drop-down was added linking to pages in the Graphics Unleashed Shopping Cart such as My Account, My Orders and Checkout.

No Web site is ever complete and everything is always “under construction” so you’ll undoubtedly see more changes going forward. We hope the latest round of changes make it easier for you to navigate the site for the information and products you want.
