Just Deserts – Free Kindle Book

October 12, 2014

Just Deserts Hetta Coffey Free BookLoyal readers may remember that I have a rental home in Baja California. Since I live quite a distance away, I monitor some online groups to keep up with the news of the area. It was through that news that I heard about an author by the name of Jinx Schwarz who has set a series of books in Baja.

The latest novel in the series, Just Deserts, is currently being offered for free as a Kindle book. Now I have to include a disclaimer in case anything changes. As I write this, it is definitely free. Amazon could change this at anytime, so it could be possible there is a cost when you visit. I can only guess this a limited time offer and have no idea when that time will expire.

I have ordered my free Kindle copy and have it loaded on my Samsung tablet (you don’t have to own a Kindle brand tablet to read Kindle books). I’d love to give my input on the book but I haven’t had the time to start reading it yet and I’d rather tell you that it is available for free before the offer expires.

Since the book takes places in both Mexico and Arizona, I’m curious to give it a read and see if I recognize any of the settings. I just hope as many of you as possible are able to get your free Kindle copy while you can and that you enjoy the book.

    Dear Foster,

Check the page link again. All 700,000+ titles are free to read on Kindle for one month if you click the “Read for Free” link. The “Read for Free” link takes you to a page where you can get a Kindle Unlimited subscription for $9.99 a month (with access to their entire library) with an offer for the first month free. That’s why the book is “free” right now. You don’t actually retain ownership of your own eCopy, just subscription rights to read it (and do so for free for the initial trial month).

    Just thought you should know.

Randall, my experience is different than what you describe. I did not purchase a Kindle Unlimited subscription nor was I taken to anything about it. I simply “purchased” the book and it had a cost of $0. It seems that you confused the “Buy Now with 1-Click” button (what I used) with the “Read for Free” button (what you used). This specific book is indeed free right now.
