There is nothing more frustrating than finding out e-mails sent are not received. OK, it can be even more frustrating when someone says they have sent e-mails to you that bounced. Some of the e-mails were business, some were personal and for a while I couldn’t even receive my own newsletters.
Over the past six months, there have been numerous phone calls to support folks to try and find a solution. We weren’t even available to try and resolve some things because of a technical issue with the mail server.
Before the end of the week, a plan is in place to move our mail server to a new provider and we think this will resolve all of the issues or at least most of them. When the switch is flipped, there will be a short period of time where e-mail may be bouncing around in the ether waiting to find the new home. The switch is planned at a time when it should have the least effect.
My fingers are crossed it will be a smooth transition and I’d appreciate if some of you can also cross your fingers. If you haven’t received an e-mail from me or you tried to e-mail me and it didn’t work, I apologize. By this time next week, I sure hope the mail will be flowing smoothly again.
