Last week in E-Mail Frustrations and a New Solution Coming Soon, I shared some of the issues we’ve had sending and received e-mail. Last Wednesday we moved our domain mail server to Google. Beneath the surface it is the Gmail platform, but we still have the exact same unleash.com addresses we’ve had for the past 20+ years.

The transition was seamless. People who had reported problems sending us mail recently are now able to reach us without a problem. There were others who weren’t able to receive e-mail from us and those are also getting through. Even better, not a single spammy e-mail has made it to our inbox since the switch. There have been a few “real” e-mails that have landed in the spam folder, but we can easily monitor them and move them back into our inbox.

In short, the move is a big success. Even better, it will save us a little bit of money each year and there is a possibility there is another even bigger savings that could come in the near future.
