We all hear about the person who created the new app and became a bazillionaire. Sure, it requires a great idea and the technical ability to create the app. It also requires the business skills to promote and monetize the app. Web development is also a hot area and it has a varied skill set.

Google knows these are important and they have provided educational content on many tech subjects. They are working with Udacity to provide this content and you can even earn a “nanodegree” in several important areas.

If you simply want to take the classes, they are free. Those who want to earn the nanodegree will be required to pay. These programs say they can be completed in 6-9 months and half of your tuition is refunded if you complete the course in less than 12 months.

So if you simply want to learn new skills, enjoy the classes. For those who want a certificate and other guidance, there is a cost. But if you look at the overall cost to complete a nanodegree, it has a very reasonable cost.
