Samsung Galaxy View 18.4″ Tablet Designed for Media Consumption

November 11, 2015

I love my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition tablet. It isn’t a replacement for my desktop or laptop computers, but it is a useful tool for a variety of tasks. Admittedly, I’m not someone who watches a lot of streamed video of any kind, but I have watched a few things on the 10.1 inch screen of my tablet.

While there is nothing preventing you from taking it everywhere just like smaller tablet, Samsung fully expects it to be stationary when it is used and it even has a built-in stand as you can see at right.

The display on the Galaxy View 18.4″ is 1080p which translates to 1920×1080 pixels. So it isn’t as high resolution as the smaller tablets, but it is the perfect resolution for watching HD video. While it is designed to media consumption, it is a full-blown Android-based tablet with Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed. This means you can run all of your favorite apps on it.
