I told you a few days ago that my presentation in Las Vegas wasn’t initially setup as specified. One thing I didn’t mention in that post was that the cable going to the projector was initially a VGA cable. This could have been a problem since my laptop only has HDMI output.
Luckily the projector had HDMI support and a cable was soon provided to make a good connection. I’m thinking it could be a good idea to get a converter in case the situation arises again and the projector doesn’t have HDMI support. The Tendak HDMI to VGA Converter shown below does exactly that and it sells for under $13 at Amazon.
As you can see in the picture, it also has an audio out jack so that you can get the sound from the HDMI output and direct it to a project or some other speakers. It is also plenty small so it can easily be slipped into my laptop bag to provide an insurance policy for future training sessions.
