Updating the Social Media Branding for Unleashed

May 26, 2016

Social media is an ever changing space and Unleashed has also undergone some significant changes in the past year with all the new properties we’ve launched. So it was time to redo the branding on our social media properties. The right branding for your properties really depends on your own personality or business. But I can direct you to some tools that make it easier to do. For those who would rather have it done for them, it is a service that Unleashed offers.

Each social media network has very specific requirements for the size of the graphics you post. What is displayed can also vary greatly based on the device viewing the network. This makes having a good template extremely important so that you know you are designing a graphic that works well on all devices. Templates, detailed information, artwork and much more are supplied in our CorelDRAW Web & Social Media Success Kit.

For some profiles, a great photo of something related to the company or products makes the best background. For our needs, we want a very attractive graphic. For our latest branding, we use a “flames” themed preset in Abstract Curves and modified it to meet our needs. It was output at the exact size needed and content was place on top of it. For example, our Facebook cover photo is shown below. It was important to leave space where Facebook overlays a profile photo and various other buttons and text.

Twitter and YouTube are more complicated as their sizes vary more and some elements move around depending on the device. But the templates allow you to see all those views and place elements accordingly.

Each of our social profiles uses a variation on the same background and we’ve also incorporated it into the headers on our e-mails. If you haven’t updated your branding lately or you simply haven’t done it, don’t wait any longer!
