If you can somehow get CorelDRAW X5 or earlier running on Windows 10, the menus will be white on white. You have to hover over a menu to see the text. I received a message from a user of CorelDRAW X6 who said this was happening. There isn’t a giant bank of different computers in our office. But I do have two machines running CorelDRAW X6 on Windows 10 (one 32-bit, one 64-bit version of CorelDRAW) and the menus work just great. Below is the screen shot to prove it.
The only possible reason I can give to someone if it isn’t working is that they don’t have all updates to CorelDRAW X6 installed. Sorry, it has always worked for me.
An even weirder situation was brought to my attention from a client. They had a CDR file saved in CorelDRAW X6 format. They have quite a few users in their company and some were able to open the file without problems and others couldn’t open the file at all. I gave it a try on my desktop machine with CorelDRAW X6 (64-bit version) installed and it worked. Then I tried on my laptop with the 32-bit version of CorelDRAW X6 installed and I got errors. So while the software is supposed to be identical, clearly there is a bug somewhere affecting this file. I’ve never had a problem with any other file opening in the 32-bit version so clearly this file contained something it didn’t like.
Maybe they accidentally deleted the font that Corell uses.
This is related to changes made in Windows 10 and is completely unrelated to fonts. It should only be a problem if CorelDRAW X6 is missing updates.
This is correct. I had the same problem with X6 and updating to version 16.4 fixed it.

I had a problem with menus on Corelx5 /win 10, where the menu was white on white. The fix was simple. Just create a new menu with the same items as the original menu. Call new menu “good menu” or whatever. Then deselect original invisible menu.
Yes, this is a problem that has NOT been fixed by Corel in CorelDRAW X5. The question was about CorelDRAW X6 and Corel DID FIX it.
