Hollywood was calling my name today and so it only made sense to choose a font that has Hollywood written all over it. The name and style of the Hollywood Hills fonts is no doubt inspired by the famous Hollywood Sign. It was originally erected to advertise a new housing development in Hollywood Hills. In 1978 it went through a major renovation with nine donors each sponsoring a letter. You can even see the two major characters in Friends With Benefits sitting inside one O. Of course it is also mentioned in Hot Chelle Rae’s song Tonight, Tonight. Even while the sign is really old, it is still a very important part of pop culture.
What do you think of this font family? Post a message on the Graphics Unleashed Facebook page and share your thoughts or post a graphic you’ve created with the fonts. Heck, share a picture of the Hollywood Sign you’ve taken. Do you have any friends that like fonts? Of course you do! Can you suggest even one of your friends become fans of the Graphics Unleashed Facebook page. That way they can enjoy the fonts we feature.
