A Snowy National Margarita Day

February 21, 2013

Yesterday was National Margarita Day. But it was an even rarer occurrence here in the desert. It started as graupel and turned into snow. We get both from time to time, but this time the snow actually stuck around on the ground. Heck, it was still around this morning and I’ve never seen that happen.

Sure, it made for a fun picture like the one at right that combined the “holiday” with the snow. But it was also a fun day to get out the camera and take some cool pictures of the desert with snow, ice and other things we just don’t see very often. I hope when opportunities present themselves like this in your world that you take the time to stop and enjoy it!

As I get a chance to go through all the pictures I took yesterday, I’ll try to post some of my favorites on the Graphics Unleashed Facebook page. Make sure to look for them and click Like on your favorites.
