Working in the tech industry, I read quite a few news items that are related to tech. There are times when I find something so compelling that I dedicate a blog post to the subject. I’ll often see stories that I think you, my loyal readers, would find interesting even if I don’t have much to say on the subject. This will be the first blog post where I provide links to several of these articles. Going forward, I’ll send out a tech news post every few days. Should you see something really interesting that I should share, please provide me a link and I’ll give it a look.

Hi Foster,
I’m going to use the backup software that you recommended the other day. I’ve tried on line services and none worked. You once mentioned an external hard drive for a good backup machine. I’ve had problems with WD and Seagate hard drives from time to time, they seem fragile and the backups using the microsoft backup seldom worked. I do have a Verbatum SSD for my downloaded software. What is your recommendation and how do I get you to receive a commission for both the software and drive. Also, if I still have some money on account for advice please use it.
Regards,
Ron Patten
The links I’ve provided for GoodSync are “affiliate” links and I will get a couple of bucks for each sale. As for a drive, I can only suggest you review previous posts as I’ve written about a number of options. If there is a link to Amazon, it is an affiliate link that earns a small commission.
