When you create a new CorelDRAW file, do you put keywords in it? I know some users are very diligent about this though most have probably never done it. Select File | Document Properties and you’ll find where you can add a number of pieces of information. Each can be important for different reasons though keywords and notes are the most important to me. Put in as many keywords as possible that relate to the file. I always suggest putting in the month, year, client name, project name and then any words related to the content. Now when you save the file, all of that information is saved within. You can then search on keywords later and that file will pop up in the search results. The best way to do the search is to use the ROMCat utility. It will allow you to build a catalog of your artwork and search it whenever you want. If you have any of my CorelDRAW Unleashed books, you probably already have a copy of ROMCat installed. Once you see the power of searching for keywords, you’ll make sure they are in all of your files!
