I was talking with a client on the phone recently when the batteries on the cordless phone died. There are other handsets, but it took me a couple of minutes to get another one so that I could continue speaking with the client. Ugh. I’ll tell you what I ordered from Amazon and I do earn a small commission if you order with the links I provide. Sadly I didn’t get any free batteries.
This wasn’t the first time I’d ordered an e-pack of AmazonBasics AA High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries. In total there are six handsets used throughout the office and each of them wants two batteries to keep the juice flowing. So a box of eight, as shown, will only last a couple of years at best.
The handset with the dead batteries came with our Ooma phone system. You can read about it in the Switching Our Phone Service to Ooma and Connecting to Alexa post. I found it was still using the batteries provided with the handset about 18 months ago. Those batteries were 1800 mAh while the AmazonBasics replacements are 2400 mAh. That means they’ll last even longer!
Batteries are not the most exciting thing to describe, so I thought I’d funk with this post with some new music from Prince. It was pretty well-known that Prince often wrote music that was recorded by other artists. In the first posthumous release from his vault, you’ll find 15 familiar tracks as a Prince recording. As of this writing, it is still a little over a week from release, but you can pre-order Prince: Originals now if you so desire. I’m looking forward to hearing a new take on some songs I really enjoy.
