Remember the days when we had to wait and wait to see our photos after they were taken? Then we ended up with prints and often double prints of all the images. Nowadays you have to work a little harder to get prints of your photos. I’ll share info on a printer designed for just that purpose. Yes, I’ll get a small commission if you buy from my Amazon links. No, I didn’t get a printer.
The Canon SELPHY Square QX10 Compact Photo Printer is relatively small and portable at only 1.2 x 4 x 5.7 inches in size and about a pound in weight. Prints measure 2.7 inches square. In order to control the printer, you can to use the Selphy Photo Layout 2.0 app. This means you can only print from an iOS or Android device and not a computer.
Prints are done via dye sublimation giving very good vibrant results that Canon claims can last a century. Testing shows it takes around 43 seconds on average for each print. You’ll pay around $14.99 for a package with ink and paper for 10 prints.
For those looking for a way to print photos on the go, this is a good solution. If you can wait, there are probably better options that will cost far less.
