Loyal readers know that I’m a big fan of going all out on your computer monitor. The bigger, the better. Today we’ll look at just such a monster. As usual, I’ll provide links to buy the monitor on Amazon that get you the best prices available while earning me a few pennies. Nothing else was received to write this.

If you want something really big then the AOC AGON Curved Gaming Monitor 49″ (AG493UCX) may be exactly what you want. That’s right, it measures 49 inches diagonally! Because it is super wide, it is also curved to make it a more immersive experience. The pixel count is 5120 x 1440 for a density of 109 ppi. So while it has a lot of pixels, it is far less dense than other monitors.

If you want to put a bunch of documents or windows side-by-side, it does a great job of that. Personally I prefer something not quite as wide and the standard 4K monitors at 3840 x 2160 works perfect for me. With either flavor of monitor, you’ll need a fairly powerful graphics card to push the higher number of pixels efficiently.

For those wanting to go for big, you should at least give this one a look. Some will love the extra-wide layout (32:9 ratio) while others will prefer the more common 16:9 ratio.
