If you have a newer vehicle, it is quite possible it includes some USB ports so you can charge your phone and/or other devices. While I have ports in my vehicle, they tend to overheat and stop working after a short charge. Basically they are worthless to me. Therefore I went searching for an alternative solution so that I can charge on the go. In telling you what I found, I’ll include a link to purchase it on Amazon that earns me a very small commission. I wanted something that fit in the “cigarette lighter” plug and provides two fast-charging USB ports. There are a lot of options from which to choose and I went with the Anker Mini Aluminum Alloy 24W Dual USB Car Charger. You can sit how it sits almost flush with your dash in the photo below.

Of the various options, it was one of the smallest available while still providing the power output that I desired. Others had two USB-C plugs, but most of my cables have USB-A connectors and that’s what I got from this Anker product. On top of that, Amazon was running a sale when I purchased it so the price was right.

For me, this was the perfect product at the right price. I’m excited that I can now keep phones and more charged while in my vehicle. That’s especially important when I’m on long road trips.
