I’ve always been a fan of big computer monitors with the highest resolutions available at the time. Four years ago I was using a 32 inch monitor that had been on my desk for many years. While it still worked, it wasn’t nearly as good as some of the newer options. I upgraded and still love my choice. Today I’ll tell you more about what I use as well as a newer version of it. I’ll include Amazon links that allow you to purchase it at the best price available. I get a very small commission from Amazon should you purchase. Nothing else was provided for me writing about this monitor.
It was almost exactly four years ago when I wrote Prices of 43″ 4K Monitors Dropping, LG Has Great Option and soon after writing it, I bought my current monitor. Two years ago I wrote LG 43UN700-B 43 Inch 4K IPS Display Increases Productivity about a newer model. Since that was written, LG has introduced another new model, the LG 43UN700T-B 43″ 4K UHD Monitor.
Twoe feature have not changed and those are the size of 43 inches and the resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. If you aren’t sure what those numbers mean, you have four separate “HD” monitors on a single screen. If you truly want to have four separate HD images, you can plug in four inputs and do that. I’ve always used it as a single high-resolution monitor. Yes, I’ve plugged in a streaming stick and occasionally used it as a television. Of course many of the streaming sources can also play on my computer so I don’t need the streaming stick to watch something.
There are four HDMI inputs and one of the four can also be used as a DisplayPort input. There are also USB-C and USB 3.0 ports. Two small speakers are included, though I use separate computer speakers rather than the ones in the monitor. One of the new features in this version of the monitor is HDR 10 support.
While it isn’t a small purchase, it provides a much better experience that purchasing four separate HD monitors. Given all that you can display on the one screen, it is a huge productivity boost that is well worth the investment!
