The first time I traveled with a laptop was in 1993. Since then, I’ve gone through a variety of bags to bring my laptop and other gear along with me on trips. Heck, it is also useful for quick a trip through the neighborhood. For the last few years, my “gear” bag has been one from SwissGear designed for hauling gadgets.
So when my fiancé got a new laptop recently, I knew she needed a good bag for it. It didn’t take a lot of looking for me to get her the SwissGear Travel Gear 1900 Scansmart TSA Friendly Laptop Backpack. Yes, I’ll earn a small commission if you use my Amazon link to buy something. I purchased one for her and didn’t get any special discount (or anything free) for writing about it.
Who likes going through security in airports these days? It is definitely not fun and even less fun if you bring as much electronics gear as I do. Part of this backpack is a well-protected pocket for a laptop and a tablet. Even better, the backpack can be folded open to make it easier for the TSA to inspect them without taking them out of the bag!
Obviously the bag is great for a laptop and tablet. They have a dedicated pocket that keeps them protected. There are plenty of other pockets and pockets for your gear, for paperwork and even external pockets for water bottles. No doubt you’ll have cables, chargers, headphones and all kinds of other goodies you’ll want to have with you.
Of course nobody wants to carry around all their gear if it isn’t comfortable. The straps and back of the pack are both padded to make it more comfortable. In fact the back includes features to allow air to flow so it doesn’t get too hot. All in all, they do a great job of making it more comfortable when carrying a bag full of tech gear.
For those needing a new bag to carry their gear, this SwissGear backpack should be at the top of your shopping list!
