I’ve had my Samsung Galaxy Watch for nearly a year and a half and I still love it. Why? I covered it in I’m Loving My Samsung Galaxy Watch. That doesn’t mean I’m not looking at the new smartwatches to see how they compare. As usual, I’ll include an Amazon purchase link for which I get a tiny commission. No, I didn’t get freebies.
The Fitbit Versa 2 Health & Fitness Smartwatch comes from the company that made fitness trackers popular so that clearly is one of the strong points. Based on my own usage, the fitness tracking is the feature I use the most beyond just knowing the time. One cool feature of the Fitbit Versa 2 is the built-in Alexa support. Note that any responses from Alexa are text-only.
You are not limited to just fitness and Alexa, you can also connect with apps on your phone to get call, text, calendar and other app notifications. For those connecting with an Android phone, you can also send quick replies and voice replies.
The screen is a 300×300 pixel AMOLED display. A simple watch face is always on and you get a more detailed face with a tap or gesture. Even with the always-on display, the watch can last up to five days on a charge. If you use it a lot, it could go through battery faster though you should easily get 2-3 days out of it with even heavy usage.
It may not be as fancy as my Samsung Galaxy Watch or the latest Apple Watch. But it is priced well below either of them so it provides very good value for the price. If you want to get a smartwatch, this is a great choice!

We provided a link to Amazon where you can look in detail at its features to determine if it does what you want.
