Last week I was enjoying a week in Baja, Mexico and I wanted to share a little bit with my loyal readers. This post doesn’t have anything to do with graphics software, but I’m hoping you still enjoy it.
A friend and I have talked about attending Sammy Hagar’s Birthday Bash in Cabo for years. For those who don’t know Sammy Hagar, you probably are at least familiar with some of his songs or his days as the lead singer of Van Halen. His birthday bash takes place in the Cabo Wabo Cantina and only 700 or so fans are lucky enough to enjoy the show. We were lucky enough to get tickets for October 11th. Only problem is that Sammy was sick and the show had to be postponed until October 12th. We were able to modify our plans and really enjoyed the show. Above is a picture I took from my spot about ten feet from the stage of Michael Anthony, Vic Johnson and Sammy Hagar. Happy 63rd birthday Sammy!
After the concert, my friend and I headed up to Loreto Bay, Mexico for a couple of days. I got a vacation home there a few years ago and wanted to prepare it for rental. Of course I wasn’t going to visit without an amazing day of scuba diving in the Sea of Cortez. If any of you are ever wanting a relaxing vacation on the beach, you can’t beat my house in Loreto Bay. Definitely let me know you are a loyal reader if you are interesting in renting.
It was a fun trip and it was a productive trip. I definitely want to go back to celebrate Sammy’s birthday again. I also can’t wait to get back to Loreto Bay for a little more time on the water.
beautiful place foster!
Hello –
I’ve been looking for the best / easiest way to travel from Cabo to Loreto and came across your post. How did you get from Cabo to Loreto? I can’t seem to find any flights and the bus will be my fall back, but would like to find something quicker. I’ve spent a lot of time in Cabo, but have never driven in Mexico (was actually there the same week as you last year). Any info will be greatly appreciated.
I had a rental car and drove from Cabo to Loreto. It is around a 5 1/2 to 6 hour drive and is quite beautiful. The road is good, but I recommend driving during daylight hours as there can be cattle in the road.
